make sure you have space on your miniSD cable.
Follow these steps exactlly!
How to change your keyguard (background) image.
This discribes how you can change your keyguard (or "screen saver") on your Sidekick 3. When your
phone is not in use an image can be displayed. This is the image we are talking about.
If you want to change your entire theme, Watch the video on how to do that.
to start you will need to make sure your image you are using is 240 x 160 pixels (thats 240 pixels wide, 160 pixels high).
This also works with photos that are currently stored on your sidekick 3 from your sidekick camara.
First, plug in your USB cable into your sidekick.
Double click "My computer" and look for your sidekicks hard drive. This will come up as a new storage device (like a hard drive) and should be something like E: F: G:
Double click on this drive. You'll see DCIM and Music. You use DCIM for pictures.
Next find the photo on your computer you want to use on the Sidekick. Drag this image into the the DCIM directory on your side kick, (or right click on the photo, select copy, then right click the directory, and click paste).
Now you have the file on your sidekick.
Unplug the USB cable.
go back to the main screen on your sidekick (click the left bottom button to do this)
Click on the jump key (top left button)
Next click on Settings > Key Guard & security
click on the image that is displayed.
Now click on the camara/mountin image, this is how you access any images on your SD card.
Select the image you want to use.
Lock your sidekick, and enjoy the new image :)
As for lighting up while in Keyguard mode, click the o) and hold. *Also, you can hold both shoulders ( (o o) buttons ) for the backlight to stay on longer,
